I just had a stripped Noveske lower fitted with a CMT/Stag lower parts kit and noticed that the trigger pull is quite gritty. Is this common to CMT/Stag LPK's...or is it just kind of hit and miss with any manufacturer? My Bushmaster, while still a bit stiff, has no gritty feeling drag to the trigger and breaks quite well. I really like the Bushmaster trigger in fact. I'm not looking for a match trigger by any means, but is there a way to smooth up the pull on this trigger or is there another LPK that are known to have nice triggers? I have started do some dry firing but I'm really not sure if this will actually work. Any help would be great! -Mike |

I don't know if it will help or not but it will not hurt. I alway clean all the FCG parts with Break Free Powder Blaster, then wipe with a CLP dampened, lint free cloth prior to installing them. Don't know if it even makes sense to do so but I do it and it might be worth a try. If it doesn't work, at least it was free |
The trigger on one of my DPMS ARs was a bit gritty and had a pull of about 7-8lbs. I cleaned it and lubed it with CLP and that didn't hepl so I took it out and installed a RRA 2 stage.......Simple, quick and cost around $80. Money well spent. |
