Just picked up a 6920 from a guy who had it still sitting NIB.
Its unfired and brand new. Problem is that the FSB is badly canted.
Should i just fix this myself ? (I have a big hammer )
Having never dealt with Colt customer service...call them or not ??

Cheers in advance.

cheers, limey

1st- did you remove it from the original plastic wrapper?

I ask since it is highly unlikely the rifle left the factory this way and the issue is caused by the shipper

Is the box damaged?

If none of the above--- Contact Colt CS and let them know. They will accept the rifle, fix it properly and return it.

I would not recommend a rubber hammer here as it is difficult to say what real damages are.

(did you get a discount from this cat for the damaged state? )

Yep in the Original plastic wrapper, box no signs of damage.
It is brand new untinkered with. The guy I bought it from
is a friend and co-worker. He did not look too carefully at
the rifle and was unaware of its issue.
