I want to put a Magpul CTR on stock on my RRA Tactical. Do I want to the commercial version or the mil spec? I have the standard RRA 6 position that came with it.

I'm pretty sure the comercial stock comes with the rubber buttplate.

Really like mine as well.  Just installed the rubber but pad, like it even more now!

Locks up very tight and seems much stronger than the regular car type stocks.

CAN'T WAIT for the UBR!!

I have thought about putting one of these stocks on my varmint rifle, but not totally convinced yet.  How tight do the stocks lock up and would there be any issues using this stock on a rifle with a 24" brl?
Thanks

What say the experts about a Smith&Wesson tube?  Commercial or Milspec.  Or should I wait for the UBR.

S&W should be milspec......like Stag.  I also bought a used S&W stock and it was milspec.

With an RRA you would really want a commercial stock, I would have bet 100% it would have been Mil spec. I dont know just would have bet. My Stag Arms was Mil Spec.

The CTR lock's up tighter than anything else I've seen. I don't see why you would have any issues with it on a 24" barrel. The only thing I would say is they are rather short and if you fire prone a ton it may not be the best choice if that is a varmint / precision weapon. I would play with it before you buy.

commercial and milspec just refer to the diameter of the receiver extension...

milspec diameter = Colt, LMT, Stag/S&W/CMT, Vltor
commercial = bushmaster, rra, olympic, dpms, sabre, etc etc etc

Damn it. I just ordered another Operator barrel from Denny. Not to mention the 6.8 I built for deer season. Now you taunt me with this CTR stock that locks up tight that I can replace that POS M4 stock with.

Damn this BRD, Damn it to HELL!!

My wife is gonna be pissed. Better to ask forgiveness then permission. My Dad taught me that.

I can either buy a full length rail for the top of the tube, or just a 2" rail just for the front to attach a BUIS.  That is what I really like about this tube, I can have a rail anywhere I need it at any length I need, but don't have to have rails where I don't need them.

Magpul CTR commercial model

The CTR is very easy to install, just push down on the two left and right side protruding pins at near the middle of the stock (in front of the rear adjustment lever but behind the front locking lever).

Then slide it in up to the last longest position, it slides very easy, then use the rear adjustment lever to your desired stock length, then lock the front locking lever up and it's as solid as a fixed stock.
