Looking for a low profile gas block that does not use set screws.
Any recommendations?

If your looking for a lo-pro GB to replace an existing standard FSB/GB, I suggest cutting down the standard FSG/GB to fit under the forearm, this will allow use of the original taper pins.

Noveske makes a lo-pro GB that uses a single cross pin and a set screw, however this may be problematic to install on a barrel that already is drilled for taper pins.

Or, have someone like -- Randall @ AR15barrels.com, Steve @ ADCO, Denny @ Denny'sGuns, WES at MSTN --use a Larue, PRI or VLTOR lo-pro GB and drill it and your barrel for a cross pin. But again, you may have issues if trying to do this with a barrel that has already been drilled to accept a standard FSB/GB.

Daniel Defense also has a clamp-on low profile gas block.
Used it on my Denny's Recon barrel build.  Seems nice...

The photo Stickman took at Rainier Arms shows that Daniel Defense doesn't spend much machine time honing out the bore.  Look at how rough they leave it compared to the Vltor's bore.

The DD is nice for barrels that had an FSB on it because it covers the taper pin areas.

In all fairness though, I really can't see that making any difference whatsoever.

Yeah....  Mine is just like that on the inside.  Wasn't thrilled about that.
The one pictured on bravocompany's website appears to be smoother.

I just bought the DD low profile, it does indeed cover the taper pin holes completely.  The finish on mine is very rough also.

Less gripping surface.
