I have a Defender 2000 with a 14.5 barrel the Forge marking is a cardinal and the LMT logo on the other side My Back Up LMT M4 DOESNT have any FORGE MARKINGS just LMT logo on the other side WhatOTHER types of UPPER REC does LMT use |
The forge code only denotes who made the raw forging. The machining of the receivers is probably done by the same outfit, if not by LMT themselves. |
Yes I know this! I thought LMT DID ALL THE MACHINING OUT of upper/lower rec |
I DUNNO MYSELF. BUT I LIKE THEM. THE CARDINAL MARKED ONES, TOO. LMT'S PUTTING OUT SOME REALLY GOOD RECEIVERS THESE DAYS. WES GRANT MSTN.BIZ |
I WISH I had the money for one of yours in 10,5 |
You're confusing the forge with the manufacturer. The forge mark, or lack of one, is only an indicatrion (or lack) of who produced the raw forging. Doesn't tell you a thing about who took that forging and made a upper reciever out of it. Chances are that the forge marked, and unmarked pieces were both made in the same plant. They just got their forgings from two different sources. |
Wrong Dont teach me something I already KNEW years ago (read post #8) You have a company who makes the raw forging with there mark LMT Machines it out PLZ Like I stated I wonder who made the un marked uppers without the FORGE mark we wont know I know LMT Machines out
