| have you guys found that they vary somewhat in size from one manufacturer to the other? In other words, some stocks are loose or tight on different tubes? |
+1 On the plastic tolerances. If your stock is a bit loose, try applying a strip of aluminum tape to the top of the buffer tube directly underneath the stock. |
Just the opposite. too tight. 3 different buffer tubes, Bushmaster, Rockriver, and whatever Del-ton uses. The Del-ton tube is the most forgiving. I'm ordering a Cav-Arms tube to see if that is better. |

I've got two Cav Arms stocks. They look well made, but are awfully tight. Am I going to need a Cav Arms buffer tube? I realize that not being mil spec, the spec can vary. edited to say: Okay, I took a small file and smoothed out the mouth of the stock that woulnd't go on at all. Apparently the one that wouldn't go on, had flash or something right there. Both Cav-Arms stocks are tighter than any other ones of that style that I have. Tight is good. Will get looser in time no doubt. |
