Hey quick question, I am doing some serious looking at the Omega Forearm system, but in some pictures it looks like there is good size gap between the front of the forearm and the back of the handguard ring, I realize that there needs to be a small gap there to keep it free floating, I just don't want a big gap there so crap can get into the gap. Can someone either show some pictures or take some measurements to show how big the gap is? looking at other reviews/threads it looks like it can vary quite a bit and get pretty big (.25-.5") maybe its just the angle of the picture though. Thanks |
Ok; except for the railed hump (Ecotech mounting), how does it compare to the KAC RAS2. |
The 12.0 will be next followed by the 9.0 but no time frames have been released yet. The 7.0 demand is pretty high right now and I'm sure they will have to catch up with that first then build the 12.0. |

that may not even work. i have seen some hg caps that are flared out the front and seat in groove in the FSB IIRC this was mostly on .625 FSB barrels and am not sure if they ever did it on .750. the easiest/only way to get the front cap of is to punch out the FSB pins and slid it off the front. also, remember there is a step in the barrel that it seats against on the back side so there is really no way to cut all the way through without sliding the FSB forward......or causing major damage. advntrjnky

OK, one more time Stickman. It looks like it is attached in similar fashion as the old & current Armalite Alostry rail system (spl). I still run one on one of my AR10s carbines, they are good for VFG but not much else. What is the attachment difference? |

pcurtis, Take a look at the installation guide that I wrote up. It should help clarify things. www.weaponevolution.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65 |
I agree, this is about the only thing that is holding me back on one of these bad boys right now. I am wondering what it looks like with the hand guard ring cap removed. |
Ok, in that case, the MI or Troy may be a better choice as they both involve chopping the D-ring. |
