Any complaints from those who have POF piston uppers?? I'm not sure I like those handguards they use!

Get a LWRC then.

I've got two of them and like them very much. No maulfunctions and very accurate. The debate between POF and LWRC is like a Ford/Chevy thing. Both have haters and lovers.

I love mine, handguard is actually pretty nice - takes some getting used to and is a little on the heavy side, but well done and grippy!

Only issue after 6 months is a bad Timney trigger group, being swapped out now.

Downside: 6+ month wait from order and not the most customer friendly organization to deal with (after being spoiled with the "customers always right" attitude of the Wilson Combats/Nighthawk Customs of the world).

I've been waiting 7 months for an upper. YMMV I guess

Should have gone with LWRC less wait and WAY better customer service.

Both systems are diffent its all about what your into.

Both of my POFs are great. Very accurate and reliable. No malfunction issues at all.
My customer service with them was not bad when I needed to talk to them.
LWRC is also a great option. POFs come with some very well name brand parts though.
Awesome barrels, bolts, carriers, triggers, silicon nickle coatings , billet lowers. and the list goes on.
POF is the king in my book!

You should have been at the Dallas fun show last month.

CWS had a stack of them. One even followed me home.

I have 3 POF uppers,  In a ongoing 17,000 round OT&E.    I can share the following info (all velocity readings are from the same day and with the same ammo lot #’s for a given type) :

Upper #1 = 13.6”  Chrome lined barrel 15,000 rounds fired  + - ( records for this upper are not perfect)
MK262          WOLF 55GR
2661               no data collected
2674
2675
2682
2682

2 Most recent groups shot to verify accuracy was with PMC M193 55GR ball were:
.897” @100M with S&B Short Dot on 4X ( about 15,000 rounds fired)
.953 “@100M with S&B Short Dot on 4X ( about 14,000 rounds fired)

Upper #2 = 16” Chrome lined  barrel 220 rounds fired ( records for this upper are perfect)

MK262          WOLF 55GR
2770                2844
2788                2904
2823                2952
2836                2958
2833                2996

Most recent groups shot to verify accuracy was with AE 55GR ball were:
1.146 “@100M with S&B Short Dot on 4X (best of the 4 groups,  average of all 4 groups was 1.552“)

Upper #3 = 16” Experimental  barrel 1876 rounds fired ( records for this upper are perfect)

MK262          WOLF 55GR
2665                 2805
2643                 2782
2702                 2880
2703                 2791
2653                 2796

Most recent groups shot to verify accuracy was with AE 55GR ball were:
1.231“@100M with S&B Short Dot on 4X
1.443 “@100M with S&B Short Dot on 4X

POF continually incorporates evolutionary upgrades in to their products some examples of which are:

Rock Creek barrel blanks.  All machining processes,  barrel extension install & gas port location are completed  prior to Chrome Lining.  As far as I know this is the only manufacture that offers this and IMO is why I have seen phenomenal barrel life with no deterioration in accuracy to 15,000 rounds. The Experimental barrel  may soon be another evolutionary upgrade to production.  The 100fps velocity loss and slightly larger average grouping issues (.2 as compared to the other 16" Chrome lined barrel )  are already addressed and solved for a production application.

Silicon Nickel Plating on interior of Upper Receivers, combined with a Hard Chrome Bolt and Carrier. The Silicon Nickel Plating is being evaluated to replace Hard Chrome on the Carrier and may soon be another evolutionary upgrade to production.

3” Aluminum heat sink barrel nut that interfaces with the rail system and upper receiver to reduce flex and rail / accessory loading on the upper receiver and heat transfer in this area.

Its spose to be out but like everything it has been push back. There really not saying when it will be out.

You may even just want to wait for the Masada.

At this point most companys will just wait till after SHOT to release most new iteams. So plan to wait if you want anything new.
