Hey doods, I am looking to build a flat top upper with the "total rail" (no standard gas block just a flip up) look to the weapon. What is the cleanest way to do that? Get a 4 rail gas block and the picatinny setup or what? |
there are several different ways to get a gun looking like mine. the LMT MRP is a monolithic upper, which is the full length rail built into the upper, it's a neat system but spendy. my rail system is a GG&G modular, there are other companies that make the monolithic look rail systems, MI makes one I think. The front sight is a Troy, but just about everyone makes a rail mount front sight. The rear is a YHM. The gas block is also from YHM if memory serves me correctly. |
i'm not using a railed gas block. i'm using a low profile gas block there are one piece and 2 piece free float rail systems. mine is a 2 piece, although a 1 piece would also work. the 2 piece systems are much easier to install in my opinion. |
