Is the metal adapter suppose to come with an NIB M5 RAS or is this a seperately purchased item?  I was under the impression this came in the box but the last three M5s I bought did not have them in the box.  They did not come with an allen wrench either.

You don't need to take it off.  Just remove the bottom rail and look inside at it.

The top rail is hooked onto the ring so I can't depress it far enough to remove the bottom rail.

My M4 RAS came with screw/metal clamp, but no allen wrench or instructions.  I  fiddlefucked around with it for 15 min. untill I figured out you have to remove the screw to install it

I called KAC about that and the guy,I forget his name, told me that there are twp part #s for the M5. A civilian version and a military version. The military version has the launcher piece. You can order the piece from them.

Google is your friend. M5 RAS is for full length, 20" Gov't profile barrels whereas the M4 is for carbines.

I want two with Vero Beach markings on them if they are marked.

None on the twenty or so I've seen.

Ah, I thought you meant the adapter to screw the top rail into the D-Ring.

I didn't get the M203 barrel stop.

I thought that adapter was not meant for civilian sales.  Not that it is illegal if you end up with one by chance.
