I've got a couple made by them but with another company's stamp on it.  I use it with my suppressor to help with the "gas in your face" problem.  I've also used it with my 9mm upper.  It is different but I don't think I'll go as far as saying it's better but everyone will have their own opinion.  It is heavier than a standard upper so don't expect to use it with you light weight upper.  Give Ameetec a call.

Did you mean to say you experienced gas discharge, and cordite in your face from firing with this upper?

I must apologize your statement wasn't very clear to me.I experience this with the normal M16 upper's we use here. It's a pain trying to see with that stuff burning your eyes. Especially when trying to acquire multiple target's with a quickness.

Spike's Tactical sells them.  My shooting buddy just picked up one in 9mm, but he hasn't had time to break it in yet.

With a suppressor, more gas gets blown back and it usually goes through the charging handle and into the shooter's face.  It's not really a problem without a suppressor.  This doesn't happen with the side charger.
