I have searched essentially all the industry partners I can think of but still can't locate a barrel to my specs:

MATCH Grade
16 or 14.5"
SS
1/8 or 1/7
Wylde or 556 chamber
M4 feedramps (has to to match my billet upper)
carbine gas system
profile is not too big concern

I know CMMG has a SS barrel that pretty much almost meets the above criterium, however, just because a barrel is SS DOES NOT mean it is match grade....

Though if those with the CMMG SS barrels can post some sub-MOA group sizes, then I guess I can go that route.

Thanks

This should fit the bill: www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=809

Or this: www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=600

Shilen blanks with the first one, looks top-notch.  I own several WOA barrels like the second one, albeit 18-inchers, and they have all performed spectacularly.

Both those are Midlength gas.  That is the problem, I need carbine gas so I can use my carbine length FF forearm I have laying around.

Ah, whoops, sorry.

You should just buy a midlenth forearm and build two...

I can't...that logic is what has gotten me to this point.  All I need is one non-m4 upper to mate with a bushie superlite barrel and I have a finished Superlite rig and then I need a m4 ramped barrel to go with my extra m4 upper and extra Samson forearm; hence my barrel search.  This rig would be a Recce type and is essentially complete less the barrel.

See my conundrum?

I think what you are looking for is the Denny's Recon Barrel.

Just have someone make exactly what you want.  Compass Lake, Accuracy Speaks, WOA, Teppo Jutsu, they all make barrels to order.  For the best service know exactly what you want(contour, chamber, twist, crown, flute size and count) before you call. It may take 6 weeks but it's worth the wait.
BTW Accuracy Speaks is in Mesa.

Yeah, that is what I thought.  Though, I think I will just go with the CMMG 16" med-con SS and then have it  chopped to 14.5 and bead blasted.

Why the hang-up on carbine gas ?? I don't understand.

Are you under the mis-conception that it's better ??

Get an RRA barrel and a round file....

Or call Noveske and order an afghan barrel with carbine length gas system.

Or buy the "MATCH GRADE" blank of your choice and have compass lake or WOA finish it to your specs.

All it takes is money and time.

Because he has a nice carbine-length rail system waiting for it.

Reading comprehension helps the understanding process.

Reading never was my strong point. Especially with a head cold and treating it with brewskis.
