I was fortunate enough to get one of the 20" uppers during BM's recent sale.  I have two rifles with LMT SOPMOD stocks.  A BM 16" carbine rifle with an H-buffer installed and the LMT 16" carbine has a regular buffer.

Are there any issues with using a 20" upper on a either of these lowers?  I guess my main question would be is it ok to use the 20" upper with the H-buffer.

Thanks.

You can throw the 20" upper onto your carbine lower without any problems at all.  The H buffer will run fine.

ETA-  A buddy of mine just came over with these handguards and picked up a 20" barrel.  We screwed it into an upper (no gas tube as it was just for pics), and dropped it onto a lower with the SOPMOD stock.  It had a very good feel to it, and balanced out nicely.

Thanks Stick.  I figured it would be ok but thought I better ask just to make sure.

No problem, that configuration has nice balance with the SOPMOD stock.  I updated my initial reply with a quick picture to give you a visual.

Good looking rifle....I have to admit, this was the first time I've seen a 20 with a SOPMOD.  I've been curious how this balanced out.  Thanks Stick!

I thought it would look out of place with anything other than a A2 stock. That looks good SM, but next time could you post it right side up

I took that picture roughly 10-15 minutes or so before it was posted, but I did post some pictures in a similar thread.  Those probably had a DD 12.0 rail and DD 12.0 Lite rail in them along with an Eotech or Aimpoint.

As for posting standard looking pictures..... I take them, but I take other angles and pictures as well, and when I get ready to upload them, I just can't bring myself to go with the basic pictures.....
