does anyone know who has barrel nuts for FF tubes for sale by themselves.

I just picked up some 2"dia .120" wall 6061 to make some custom free float tubes and I was looking to pick up some barrel nuts to use with them. I guess if I cant find any i'll just turn some from bar stock

You won't normally see the barrel nuts available by themselves because there is no standard for them.  Every company uses their own design so the nut is worthless without the tuber to go with it except for the rare person like you who is making his own rail.

PRI and/or Daniel Defense may have some available.  They've used both alum. and steel for the nuts so they sell them separately for people who want to switch.  I have no idea who might have them or if their even still available.  The DD nut would probably be too propriety unless you wanted to copy their entire attachment system.  Not sure how the PRI attaches so I can't say whether it would be useful for you.

thanks for the reply's

I found the YHM ones but they cost about 1/2 what their complete FF 4 rail costs.

Since they arent readily availible I guess I'll just have to make my own.

Did you ever find out who was selling just the free float barrel nuts?  I need one made out of steel if anyone knows where I can get one.  I need it for a project I am starting and don't want to buy a complete rail system if I don't have to.  I need the ones used on the DCM type float tubes.

MtDew69 did you end up making your own?  If so, do you have any photos you can send me of what you ended up with?

Every freefloat tube is slightly different.
If you are making your own handguard system, just make your own nut too.
