I had recently purchased an RRA 9mm upper, it's got the Tros 5" barrel on it. After cleaning it today, I noticed the finish has little specks where the finish is no longer there, and the plain metal cansbe seen under it. It is worst towards the top, on both sides just below the rail. I thought RRA uppers were hard anodized and wouldn't have problems such as this. http://members.cox.net/theastronauts/DCAM0002.JPG http://members.cox.net/theastronauts/DCAM0005.JPG Could heat be an issue with the finish? I don't have a C Mag for it, but it has gone through several mag dumps back to back. Also, the disconnecter busted last time I took it out, just above the spring that sits inside the trigger. I had a spare so I put it in and was back to shooting again in no time. What would cause the disconnecter to break like that? I didn't notice till I had got home that the bolt carrier had what looks like a gash in the bottom of it. I don't remember it being there before. http://members.cox.net/theastronauts/DCAM0006.JPG http://members.cox.net/theastronauts/DCAM0007.jpg Any ideas? |
