i was planning to get the longest varmit style upper and pair it with my oly lower and was wondering if any of yall had any input on the upper that i am planning to purchace in the near future. any input will be vital since i have never gotten anything from model 1 sales before. if any of you have one what kind of accuracy do you get. I am expecting 1/4" groups from 100yds and model 1 sales assured me that it was very capible of so. thanks

cqbgod,
I own 2 Model 1 rifles. They have served me well. Are you looking at the 24". Which chamber?

Longest barrel I have is 16". No problem with 1" to 2" at a hundred yards. The combination you have chosen, with a good scope, should be as capable as you are. I would not, however, puchase the FCG from them. I have had to do some polishing on mine to smooth them out. Enjoy

ETA: My originial Model 1chrome lined upper is going on 7000 rounds.

1/4" at 100 yards out of a semi-auto is amazing. Do you have other semis that shoot that well?
