I am looking at getting this or the carbine length.  The pictures look different from the one mounted on the rifle in the ad and the picture just showing the rail itself i n the ad.  It looks like the picture witht the rifle http://www.gandrtactical.com/images/archive/TROY%20MRF-CX.jpg has the bottom part of the forward rail cutoff.  The picture of just the rail looks like the bottom of the rail extends as far forward as the side rails.  Anyone with experience on this or suggestions on which would be better for a carbine?  I am only planning on adding a light and moving my EOTECH forward but there is not much space on the carbine handguards.

Thanks

The MRF-CX is a full 12" rail designed for the carbine.  Completely different than just a carbine length rail.

Why don't you actually go to the Troy site and look at the individual rail systems themselves?

Yeah--I did go to the site.  I saw the rails themselves but also saw them attached to weapons on other websites and the pics looked different.

I also wanted to get some feedback from anyone with experience with these--like 'em--don't like 'em, problems, etc.

Ah, well I have the MRF-MX and it's nice and sturdy.  It is really sturdy and assembly/dissassembly is relatively simple.  I haven't handled the CX version, so can't tell you about that specific model.
