Not familiar with POF but they have an 18" upper I am looking at recently for my first build.   Using a RRA lower with 2stage NM trigger group.  Can anyone comment on the quality and reliability of these units or the companies products overall?  Will it mate well with out any work to my RRA lower?  I was going to settle on a 16" but I had it in my mind that I wanted the middle ground between the 16 and 20" barrel.  The lower is more likely getting a Magpul M93B stock.

Thanks for any help...

BTW, just got my new Springfield XD-40 service and cant wait to go warm it up.

I have not handled any POF parts (yet) but their general reputation on the forums seems very good.

Excellent product, fit and finish is as good as any high end out there. Have 2 mated to RRA lowers. Have 3000 rounds thru and piston just keeps on going. After firing piston upper, I sold all of my Colt M4 uppers and never looked back. Try one I think you will like. A little heavy but what the hell. Great guys to deal with and the best service I found.

You may also want to take a look at leitner wise in the industry forum, IMHO they have a better design than POF, and they just got a new facility up and on line, so the earlier supply problems should be a thing of the past.

Fit, Finish, and Function of my POF upper is 100% flawless. Its a great piece of kit for the money. Im glad I made the decision.

My POF has almost 10,000 rnds threw it. After some minor B.S. feed thing(50%) magazine trouble its been up and running GREAT. Just don't get in a hurry to get one straight from them. Last i new they where a little behind. Like 4-6 months, But that was in march.
