I am going to give my best friend an upper receiver. I had 4; 3 Colts (1 A3M4, 1 A3 and 1 A2) and 1 A2 FN/Kaiser. I used the Colt A3M4 for my new build. So the question is... Which receiver would you give away? I've been told the FNs are very good as well as rather hard to come by. I don't know how or if I can do a survey so I'll have to rely on posts. There isn't much use for A2 uppers in the eyes of most people, so chances are you would need one of your flattops before you needed the A2. I guess it would depend on how good as friend it was. If he likes the idea of building a weapon with optics, you might as well give him the A3, so he doesn't have to buy it later. |
Now see... I keep hearing that same thing, that FNs are as good as Colt, but are becoming harder and harder to find.
