My first post to a great site!!!  I just had my BM Hbar threaded for a Bennie Cooley brake and was wondering if I can shoot it with naked threads/no brake/when plinking to cut down on the blast? Will this hurt anything or am I good to go?

I don’t see what it would hurt. If anything you might want to find some thing to protect the exposed threads so you don’t accidentally ding them up.

"get a thread protector and you should be GTG"

Why?  Unless you are planning on beating up the threads?

Accidents happen.  Things get bumped and dropped all the time.  Use protection.

Instead of a tread protector you could just by a flash hider. Get an A1 so you don't have to worry about aligning the area without ports to the bottom.  Should cost under $10.
