[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Vltor Stock ??

I read that the Vltor stock will only fit on mil spec tubes (not bushmaster, arma-lite, etc..), however that looks like it was placed on thier web site several years ago. Does anyone have any expierence installing the stock ONLY, no new tube from vltor, on a "newer" post ban bushmaster M4 type? The reason I ask is that I found the stock and all cheek adaptors for under $80 but the entire kit was $150.

Bushmaster receiver extension is not mil spec, it won't fit.

It will only fit on a tube from Vltor, Colt, LMT, and CMT.

If you have everything else and just need the tube, you can get Vltor's for around $44.

I actually tired this and I can confirm the Vltor stock will not fit a commercial tube.
