I just purchased a SP1 lower and want to know what type of takedown pins does it have and what will it match up with? I don't have it in hand yet. Any help would be great.

Thanks, Bryan

SP1 lowers will have a large diameter hole in in the front.  The uppers were originally attached with a split screw arrangement and will not have detent to retain a pin.  IIRC all rear pins are std size.

YMMV

Like Blitzkreig said above, the Colt SP1 lower has a large pivot pin. The only upper that will be a direct fit will be a Colt large-hole upper. BUT, you can buy an adapter pin to allow you to use mil-spec small pivot uppers on your SP1 lower.

And if you do go to an adapter pin, get the one sold by CDNN www.cdnninvestments.com.

It's the only one out there that won't rotate out of alignment every time you open the action, and require two screwdrivers to reset when you close it up.

All the other types will drive you nuts.
