It looks like my MRFS thread has been archived. Is there any way to bump something for the archives? Anyway, I can tell you anything you need to know. The MRFS from Samson is a two piece free float quad rail system. Because it is a two piece system, you do not have to remove the FSB or gas tube to install it. You can remove your delta ring and spring with a dremmel and it mount up in about 15 minutes. If you buy your rail from us, I can send you the pics of each step you need to take. Or, you can send us your upper and we will install it for you for free. It is pretty easy though. We sell a ton of MRFS systems and we have never had anyone complain that it is difficult to do. LINK to our EE ad. LOTS of pics in there! The top rail attaches to the barrel nut with a clamp. The bottom rail is removable and slides in and out with no tools required. The bottom rail is held in place with a captured detent and can not be removed without pressing the detent. It is a very secure system. Once it is mounted, you will see that it is evry bit as strong and secure as a single piece rail. It is just much easier to install. The only draw back is that it weighs a few onces more than the lightest single piece FF rails systems. It is lighter than the standard YHM rail. One important detail of the Samson MRFS is that all four rails are picitinny mi-spec. Not everyone can say that. Another advantage with this system is the continuous top rail. There is no space left in the rail to accomodate the delta ring. That is awesome for mounting up different optic options. Here is a pic of one of mine with the EOTech bridging top rails. ![]() Send me an email if you have any specific questions. [email protected] We're here to help. |
Thanks, but Samson rails aren't listed? |
