You're allowing yourself to be confused by the caliber markings on the lower receiver which don't mean shit. All AR15 lowers can be used with any caliber that will fit through the mag well no matter what is stamped on the side. Having a receiver that has 'caliber multi' stamped on the side is purely a cosmetic issue. Having said that, Mega makes some very high quality parts at a reasonable price and I have been happy with both of mine. ETA: I ordered both of mine from www.ameetecarms.com/ where they cost $100 + shipping + transfer fee at my local FFL. |
| Yeah the markings don't really mean anything. You can use a mega lower for any caliber that will work with an AR lower. .308 requires a different, AR10 type lower, but the mega will be fine with .22, 9mm, 7.62x39, .50 beowulf etc.-however a Bushmaster marked 5.56mm or .223 would also work equally well. |
