I have an RRA mid-length 16"     I want  to put on a YHM flip w/gas block and bayonet lug.
Is this some thing a gunsmith should do, or can I do it?    How hard will this be?   THANKS in advance

This depends on your mechanical aptitude. Its not hard to do, there are some excellent threads on removal and installation of gas blocks on this site. All you need are some basic hand tools and a set of punches and you should be fine. If you have a perm attached flash suppressor you will need to cut off the standard front sight base (with a dremel tool is easiest). Good luck. If you need any assistance drop me an email.

If your flash hider isn't pinned on, it should be something very easy to do.  Tap out the taper pins on your sight from the bolt catch side, and slide forward.  It's pretty simple to do.

TC, when you get ready to find the TDC for the windage give me a shout, I'll explain an easy way to do it.
