Hello all ARFCOMMERS  Im trying to build a XM-177 clone and my question is what is the bare min barrel length for a 4.5 inch bushy 177 F/S?  I will perm attach the F/S to the barrel so is it 12 or 12.5?  Stupid question but I would like to know before I ship it to ADCO.  Thanks again guys.    Oh yeah it has to be the 16 inch length

The guys at Adco know what they're doing, I'd suggest to just include the flash suppressor with the barrel and ask them to make it 16"+ overall- leave the math to them.

I'd say 12.7" will get ya what your looking for here.

You should figure a 1/2" overlap, that's

12.7 - 1/2 = 12.2"

04.5 - 1/2 = 4"

total = 16.2"

Don't forget to get rid of the bayo lug.  The XM177E2 didn't have one.

True enough, but since the piece that Bushie is selling isn't an XM177E2 clone anyway (it's an earlier XM177 lookalike), why worry?

Total Silence Inc will build this firearm for you using an accurately manufactured NON-NFA XM177E2 moderator with grenade ring. The barrel length will be a minimum 12.5" length with a 16" OAL.

Here's another option:  get a 5" slipover FH (available from BM) and have the barrel shortened to 14.5".  Overall length will be just over 16".  You get better ballistics and the profile you're looking for.  That's what I did since I didn't need (or want to spend the $ for) a 100% accurate XM177 clone.
