I replaced my club-of-a-barrel with that goofy recoil check on my ArmaLite M15A2 after the ban expired with a BM 20-inch government profile tube. Now I have a lightly used barrel that I'd like to put to some kind of use for a future build. My question is this: how is the recoil check attached? Can I just grind it or lathe turn it for removal? I'd really like to remove it without damaging or shortening the barrel (I plan on making it into a government profile barrel as well). TIA. |
