anyone have one of these? if so how do you like it? how does it fasten to the barrel? thinking about pickin one of these up. thx.

It'll do the job, but there are better out there. It fastens with two setscrews from the bottom. Not sure if it will fit inside any of the FF tubes, if you were interested in doing something like that.

mongo what would you consider better? and what makes them better? not being a smartass...just curious. the YHM is only $24bux at Rbprecision.

KAC, PRI and SPR are all smaller in size. I prefer them because they fit under most handguards, which is usually where you would find a low profile gas block. Of course, these are more expensive. If you just need a low profile gas block outside of you handguards, this one will be fine.

ADDED: IIRC, the roll pin is very hard to get into these gas blocks due to a recessed hole. YMMV.

The YHM low profile gas block will fit under the YHM handguards, but not under PRI, DD, LT, SIR, KAC

thx guys...its going to be outside a rifle length Hyperform carbon fiber handguard on a 24" hbar barrel. Long as it functions ok i dont care if its hidden.
