Just took my Colt Sporter to the local gun shop to have a tele-stock installed. I'm not much of a "hands on" guy and I figured if it needed to be put in a vice, special tools, etc. that I'd leave it to them. I'd be pissed too, and hope you get it back. But don't worry too much about it, an A1 fixed stock receiver extension isn't expensive at all to replace. If you ever have to put it back to original to sell, they are totally unmarked and pretty much impossible to even tell a genuine Colt from a no-name brand. People pay top-dollar for a Colt barrel, Colt upper or lower, Colt bolts & carriers- but no one pays a penny more for a fixed stock tube. _________________________________________ |
