The flat triggers result in a longer reach for your trigger finger.  They are a nice for precision shooting but too long for action shooting unless you have very big hands. (IMHO). The actual trigger travel is identical, straight or curved, so even though they look like a 1911 trigger (straight pull) they don't feel that way.  I have both the straight and curved in demo rifles and most like the curved best for general use.
