Does anyone know the thread size of a standard flash suppressor / muzzle brake ?

The AR-15 is 1/2 x 28. The AR-10 is usually 5/8 x 24.

Thanks ! Any idea about where I can get a 1/2 x 28 tap ? I couldn't find one in McMaster Carr or MSC .
