Im going to a gun show this weekend and a buddy wants me to pick up a new upper for his AR15 but he wants a Bushmaster and I dont know how to tell the diference except the purple looking rear sights that some came with, can anyone help a guy out? Thanks |

The main thing you want to look for is the markings on the barrel, which will usually be in front of the front sight, but on some models, will be under the handguards. You're looking for: B MP 5.56 NATO 1/9 All Bushmaster barrels will be marked with some variation of this. The "B" means Bushmaster. A "C" would mean Colt, and "FN" would mean FN. Most other manufacturers don't mark their barrels this way, unfortunately, but Bushmaster has been doing so since 1990, and Colt since the late 60s. -Troy |
