How is the RRA standard trigger?

I realize that RRA complete rifles all come with the NM two-stage.  Is the standard decent or is it something that should be avoided?

I know that the NM is preferable but I'm building a custom rifle and the cost difference between standard and NM is a major issue right now.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Depends what your'e gonna use the rifle for. is this a accuracy based weapon? If so, go with the two stage, if it's just a "battle rifle", single stage is best.

Thanks!! That is what I was hoping to hear.  Just wanted to make sure the standard trigger isn't junk.

I think I saw that ADCO would do a trigger job on the standard trigger for $20 -- if you order the receiver/trigger from them. If so, that might be a good investment.

Get the RRA Standard 2 stage trigger, send it to John Holliger of White Oak Precision for a $25 tune up and get ready to be very impressed. I was ready to spend 200+ for a JP to put on my RRA varmint rifle but thought I'd see what I could get for 25 bucks first. Just let him know if you want it DCM legal or not.

Order the yellow JP trigger springs and use them with your GI trigger.  Should give you a decent 3.5 to 4 pount single stage trigger.  I, personally would get a Jewell is I was going to spend any kind of money on an aftermarket trigger.
