Is anyone using one of these in their carbine telestock or is it another gimmick that's not an inprovement over the stock spring? I recently sold my old style Colt M-4 and the replacement spring I purchased from DPMS does'nt have the hard chrome finish the Colt one had, almost looks more anodized and looks like it would create more friction. Since it looks like Olympic Arms is'nt going to make a hydraulic buffer for a telestock, I was wondering if this is a worthwhile option. I looked at the Website selling the Speedlock Spring, but have'nt heard of anyone actually testing one. Here's the website ane their reasons it's better than stock. www.zediker.com/tubb/sssmain.html

It probably would help.  But it is also more than twice the price of the standard spring I allready have.

I have seen military M-16's with 20,000 and more rounds on the same spring, working flawlessly.  (Maybe the spring is causing excessive wear at some level, but I am not detecting it.)

Extra power could help chamber rounds in dirty chambers though.  Extra dwell time is nice to keep extractor issues to a minimum.

If you have money for one, buy it, otherwise just use the standard part like the rest of us.

CS springs are nice, I use them in my 1911's, where I would otherwise have to replace springs every 1000rds.  They last at least 15000 rds.  it's added convenience not having to replace them all the time.
