| Thinking about upgrading my post-ban Bushmaster M-4 type carbine to an SPR-type rifle. Is the muzzle break on the SPR any louder than the my current muzzle break, or should I just leave the new barrel bare? Also, does anybody have an accurate list of parts to complete my project? Thanks-Rico |

Sounds like you have lots or work ahead of you. The 2 current military SPR's versions generally have 18" free floated barrels, Leupold M3 and BUIS. Mk12 Mod 0 PRI and ARMS components Mk12 Mod 1 Knigtht's component Check out MSTN under the Industry Forum and you will see a host of kickin' SPRs and components. |

Rico, The SPR brake is made by OPS. It is designed to direct sound pressure to the sides of the weapon and not back to the shooter. I never used one personally, but it is supposed to be much quieter. The other parts parts to the best of my knowledge for the mod0 Douglass 18" SS barrel Pri gas buster Pri flip up front sight Pri free flote tube ARMS #40 BUIS ARMS SPR rail Parker Hale bipod And Luepoold M3 10X with ARMS QD rings There are other variations, but these are the basics Hope it helps |
| The Ops. Inc. port is indeed not angled back towards the shooter, so they are more quiet, however they have NOT been approved for use on a post ban rifle by ATFE. If you use one on that post ban, you'll have to wait until after September, and they aren't even currently available though copies are now being sold on the EE board. |
