I'm new to the website and farely new to ar-15's.  I am looking at purchasing my 1st ar-15 and was wondering about the Colt vs. the Bushmaster.  I have heard mixed reviews about both and was wondering your opinion on which to buy.  Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks
Ian

You'll not go wrong with either choice. Colts are more expensive and resell is higher simply due to their name more then anything ([;)]) which is known by rookies.

I own a few AR's [:D], none of them have trouble with anything I run though them ... and none of them are Colts.

I'm buy the Bushmaster in a heartbeat.

Get a Bushmaster unless you like paying more for resale value on something you will never sell...

I have both - Colt M4 and Bushmaster Varminter.  I like the Colt because it has a bunch of features not found in any other stock M4s - it shoots great and handles well, no problems so far after about 2K rounds plus I like the pony to look at and if I'm ever desperate, I know the resale value will be there.
I love my Bushmaster Varminter - I think the trigger is superb, at least on my gun, but I'm still in the process of breaking in and haven't put that many rounds through it.  All I can say, it sure is accurate!
