Are there any problems having this done? I know KKF will do the work but does this weaken the upper because you have cut through the anodizing (sp?)? Is this an issue? I would think that if the rounds hit the feed ramps they would peen the soft aluminum.

The rounds will not even hit the feed ramp cut into the receiver 99.9% of the time.  You wont have any issues if you choose to do it.

DevL,

Out of curiousity ,ever heard of anyone having the ramps cut and then having problems because of the aluminum being taken past the anodizing?

I have no need for the mod...my Bushy upper run great on whatever I feed them.

I have seen all kinds of mods done to anodized aluminum and never seen any issues.  These were all privately owned and well cared for items though so I dont know how well bare aluminum coated with alumi-black and some CLP stands up to 1000 hours of salt spray.

Myself, Id be concerned about it, since aluminum is very soft under the anodizing.

There's no issue with doing this mod. Kurt's  and Rapid Fire both offer this work. Bushmaster and DPMS will do the mod to their receivers, on request, if you buy from them. I just did them myself, it's not a very difficult.
