| I got one of Colt's Off Set Front Pivot Screw today. I have a large hole lower and wanted to put a small hole upper on. This dang screw was the hardest thing to install. I finally did it with a little help from a rubber mallet. I don't believe I will ever do this again. When I take this upper off, it's staying off and the original Colt upper will go on. PAT. |
| Ouch!! You should not have to use a rubber mallet to use these things. Mine go in just fine. You have to remember that it is offset and it takes a little twist to get it in. Be careful when using a mallet on this part, the metal gets kind of thin up at the pivot pin holes. |

Make sure you didn't damage the lower. |
| It should not require any force to install the offset screw. I have four large hole Colt AR lowers with small hole uppers installed using offset screws. The only problem I have ever had is the nut shooting loose if you don't stick it down with locktite or something. Watch-Six |
