I bought my first AR last September. It's a blast, and my other guns have taken a back seat since then. The trigger pull on my Bushmaster is probably the same as most new AR's. It's a little heavy, but has a crisp break. It's fine with the iron sights and Aimpoint, but I'm thinking of getting a better trigger with a lighter pull for when I get a scope to help make more distant and/or accurate shots. Does anybody have any opinions or experience with the GG&G Set Trigger? I like the idea of having the option to choose between trigger pulls. www.gggaz.com/products/settrigger.php |

Quoted: IMO you want the best trigger for accuracy money can buy. Get a Knights 2 Stage. I dont think its any slower than the factory trigger and will be MUCH better than the GG&G conversion. Ditto on that. There is no comparison. I presently have two and am waiting on a third. |

I have a pair of Jewells in my AR-15s and the KAC trigger in my AR-10! I personally like the Jewell trigger a little better than the KAC unit because it is more adjustable. The KAC trigger is an EXCELLENT trigger but be warned if you want to shoot DCM you need a 4.5# total weight! You can buy a 4.5# KAC unit and then lower it to 3.5# but it will require removal from your lower and replacing a spring! With the Jewell, on the other hand, you can adjust the first and second stage weight as well as the sear engagement without removing the trigger from the lower and without replacing anything! Now, the Jewell is a target trigger with allot that could go wrong (not that I have had any problems) while the KAC unit is probably a better choice for a combat rifle. Both are great triggers and far better than anything you will get from the factry... well unless you buy a KAC with their trigger installed! Good Luck! |
| Thanks for your replies and info. My Bushy is more towards the combat/recreational side, rather than match/competition. But a good AR will be fun, reliable, and accurate (depending on the shooter). I just put an SIR-M on it so a Knight's trigger would be a good addition. Thanks again. |
