| Does anyone here have any experience with this kit? Am seriously interested in it so I can "trick-out" my old H-bar. Anybody?? |
| I like mine, it's a bit heavy compared to a similar M4, which I attribute to its gas system having been moved above the barrel and the standard folding stock (heavy steel tubes and pad), I've always wondered why they didn't go the FN/Galil route with the aluminum construction stocks. Otherwise it's compact when folded, takes very little effort to unfold the stock in a hurry, very accurate and definitely an attention getter. A shortcoming noted by a few ZM owners is the lack of accessory rails, ZM addressed this by giving you the option to mount an ARMS full length top rail to supplement the Trimount, which goes under the sight tower. With this combination, most of your accessories mounting needs should be met. [:)] |

Ridge, I didn't have to wait to get mine since I got it used from a fellow ar15.com member [:)] Its exotic looks always get other shooters curious. To me it's like an FN FNC but one that uses many standard AR parts. I have an older model that has a 14.5" barrel plus a Vortex hider, the new ones are 16" plus hider or brake. Hopefully the pic shows the compactness of the ZM when folded. |
