I am having a problem with an AR15. It is a used one that I purchased from a do-it-yourself gunsmith type.
I think various modifications were made, some of which I will have to undo.
I am trying to determine if the carrier was "modified" for some reason. I need to know the overall length of the carrier without the bolt. I don't have a carrier to compare and haven't been able to find this spec.
Can someone measure and post the length or tell me where I can find such specs?

  6 5/8 inches on three different carriers, two Colts and a military contract carrier (modified for semi auto only use).  Hope this helps  [:D]
