I have an Olypmic Arms PCR-02 (16", A2 upper).  I recently changed out the upper receiver (only, not bbl or bolt) for an RRA flattop.  It had a little trouble mounting to my oly lower, so I took a needle file to the rear takedown pin hole in the lower (since I've heard that Olys are often out of spec.)  Before filing, I couldn't get the rear takedown pin all the way in.  Now I can.  But occasionally, mags which worked fine before the switch will cause me problems:

I will get a round that hangs up on the feed ramp (or just below).  If I jiggle the mag forward to back, the round will slip in.  Any suggestions?  My first inclination is to break out a dremel and slightly enlarge the feed ramps, then polish them.  Could this be a bad idea?

Thanks in advance!

mmmm before you get the Dremel (I know its tempting)you should check to see if your upper is out of spec. It sounds like it could just be a slightly too tight too too high(the feedramps)

I'm no expert, but you should check it out anyhow.

Good Luck!
