Im planning on a Fighlite SCR sbr . Chopped rem 1100 buttstock , rail-less forend with tapered cap , a 3d printed clamp-on and pinned SKS post front sight , and cheapo bearcreak gen2 side-charger . I may have to source a used lower if fightlite doesnt get their crap straight . |

Both work fine. Is an SKS style front sight going to be too tall? Kel-Tec spun their Gen 2 SUB 2000 front sight on by threading the barrel for the front sight, and having a lock nut to fix it vertically in place. Then the tip was threaded for a flash hider or can. My brother would like a Fightlite, but they're so expensive, you can buy a ban-state legal Mini-14 for the price of the lower. |

Im looking at retro-fitting a Tech-sights rear keltec su-16 by milling the bottom rear flat ... have to see what front post height i need from there . Trying to keep the sight/bore axis low as possible. The expenditure over a mini is acceptable to me due to the potential for accuracy and the non proprietary parts like bolts , barrels, firing pins , gas blocks ... keeps everything out of the shop and I can mix it up on a whim as I'm prone to do . |
