Looking to replace the factory trigger on my Colt AR 15, mostly a medium range plinker.  The issue is that it has the large pins.  I want  two-stage, about 4lbs weight.  Don't want to spend a whole lot of $.  Not a match rifle, just want a better trigger.  I know that Geisselle makes one for the large pin, anything less expensive out  there that is quality/reliable.

Not sure. I saw you already mentioned Geissele, but I'm sure there's gotta be someone else out there making a decent large pin aftermarket trigger. Maybe try CMC? Not really sure. In the end, it's definitely worth saving for the G trigger. You will not be disappointed if you do.

ETA: Just did a quick Google search and it looks like at the very least, CMC and Jewell both offer a trigger for the Colt large pin lowers.

Timney and CMC have large pin drop-in trigger groups. They are available in 3 and 4 lb. varieties.

Does your rifle have the "sear block" ?

If it does.... just send it out get milled out..... do not attempt to dremel it out unless you are a mental cutter.

The sear block will mess with the Geissele trigger ( as well as most drop-in cassette triggers. )

RRA used to make a large pin NM trigger group... but I can't seem to find one anywhere.

I have small pin CMC and it's a really nice trigger. If I didn't already have an SSA in my big pin Colt that's the route I would take.

Some had questions about large/small pin, and also sear blocks.  Giesselle has the best guide/info on these questions.  Your learn a lot when you have a Colt ban-era AR(like mine with large pins and a pin sear block)  I have emailed most suppliers of aftermarket triggers, so far  CMC has replied, and I would need to remove the sear block to use their trigger, waiting for Timney and RRA to respond.  Have already ruled out the rest mostly on the pin size issue.  Geisseles web site info says their SSA will work, but it is $300!  Here is the Giessele info; https://geissele.com/colt-rifle-users-guide/  UPDATE, Timney won't fit with the pinned sear block.  Looking like the single unit replacements(like Timney) won't fit, however the component style(Giessele) will fit.

Geissele is what came to mind, and obviously the popular opinion.
