I guess I'm just overly complacent..... but why does everyone seem to be so concerned about accepting a PayPal payment with any mention of anything firearm related?  I know I'm getting old and just figured out how to spell PayPal last week, but really?  Please, someone help an old man understand.........

PayPal is anti-gun, and using them for anything firearm-related is against their Terms of Service.

Because they will suspend your account for firearms related transactions.

Not true. Only "certain" items of which I've never experienced. From PayPal Acceptable Use Policy:  ".... (j) ammunition, firearms, or certain firearm parts or accessories ....." Have purchased hundreds of firearm related parts / accessories with nary a problem. Several items are obviously firearm related based on names of sellers.

Ya true, I have seen them suspend accounts for just about anything firearms related, they are arbitrary in their enforcement of their policies, I have also seen them monitor GB and Ebay when people selling gun parts list they will take paypal for payment, it is hit or miss on what they catch at times, but from my understanding they have a whole group that monitors certain types of transactions, just like Ebay did when they decided to not allow gun sales many years ago, I have actually sold fully operational pistols on Ebay in the past, then Virginia Tech happened and that went all to hell.

Just because they write a guideline a certain way does not mean you won't get caught up in arbitrary BS from them.

It's very easily for someone to say they never got said item and get a refund. You basically lose money while they get your item. Probably best to use cashier check from a reputable source.

Edit: I don't know about the anti-gun bit. I just recall my day on eBay and how easy it was for people to say they never got the item and got a refund and you lost an item.
