Anyone affected by the recall they announced today? Seems to pertain to the disconnector in the fire control group. See link below, check to see if your rifle is included! Seems my M4V11 is, so booo. Otherwise, thoughts? Anyone know any more information?

Just ran the serial # and looks like mine just missed the dates (MFR date 3/17/2017). Thanks for the heads up and good luck OP.

If it's simply a problem with the disco, I wouldn't even bother shipping it back.  You're looking at like a $3 part.  Either replace the disco or even better, use this as a reason to upgrade the FCG to something better.

My trigger did it. M4V4S double tapped, but only if the trigger was held to the rear like when you are doing longer range shooting, which is how I noticed it. I thought I was going insane until I caught it again on my function check after cleaning.

That, kids, is why we function check. This was about three months ago, DD replaced it quickly.

This is exactly my thought.  My DDV11 is affected, and I'm worried about what the wait time will be.  Now, just to decide on which trigger...

I personally think it's kind of stupid to go through all the trouble of shipping back half your gun for who knows how long, when a direct replacement part costs a few bucks and takes about 90 seconds to swap out with no special tools needed.

Sure, good on DD for stepping up and fixing an error (and it's great for people who don't have the knowledge to fix it themselves), but for something so simple (especially members here who are more likely to upgrade components), it's a no brainer in my eyes.

Which Geissele is everyone looking at, now?? Haha. On the other hand, I wonder if we can call up or email DD for the replacement part to self swap....or to keep aside due to a whole new trigger upgrade being installed by the owner.

Just request they send the part, order one from Brownell's, or get an ALG QMS/ACT, BCM PNT, or Spike's if you really want a Milspec single stage.

Who'd actually send their lower in?  That's like scheduling a dealership appointment a week ahead for brittle license plate screws when you can swing by Homo Depot.

I feel everyone's thought process for sure regarding swapping the trigger out and all....but I'm holding out for the fact that maybe...juuuust maybe they'll drop in a more specialized fire control group. Eh eh Daniel Defense?? Haha.

Seems pretty straight forward and a simple and hopefully fast turnaround fix.  Mine was built after the affected run/dates so I got the green pass flag.

FWIW, I sent my V11P back for an unrealated build issue 2 weeks ago.  DD received it on a Tuesday, and had it fixed and shipped that Wed, I had it back in 7 days and that included a weekend.  I expect they'll be ramped up for the influx of lowers.

Thanks for the heads up and I hope you get yours back quickly.  Although that 2 round burst mode sounds fun.

I don't think DD offers an upgraded trigger in any of their rifles (could be wrong), so I doubt it.

Go Geissele, you won't regret it.  Too bad you guys missed out on Primary Arms Geissele sale over the weekend.  Some triggers were near 50% off.

Their "Pro" rifles comes with a SD3G.  I like single stage triggers for a plinker, so maybe that would be available (?).  Interestingly it shipped with an extra 4.5 .lb spring and came with a 3.5 .lb spring installed (according to DD).

Right?? I saw that deal going on and most certainly would have jumped on it then lol.

I do believe the pro line includes a Geissele of some kind.

For what it's worth, I had the double fire on single pull issue on another one of my rifles. Although one could easily say, well it's just an unexpected feature....it for one is a mechanical manufacturing issue. It isn't functioning as intended therefore it needs replacement. Along with that, when the double fire occurred, it was in a sense unsettling. What happened was on trigger pull, a round got sent down range. As I was releasing the trigger to reset....a second round was fired. It was more unwanted then anything else. Long story short, I had that rifle's stock mil-spec trigger replaced free of charge for a much pricier drop-in 4lb single stage.

Geissele, Geissele, Geissele..  nearly everyone says Geissele.

Nice triggers, ( one of my AR's has a Geissele in it and I've installed plenty of them/fired a bunch of them to include their FA model, ) but I much prefer the simple drop in, no fuss-no muss Wilson Combat TTU.

I hear Geiselle so much so I wanna get one for the hell of it lol.

I'll have to see how this thing pans out. I already received an email from DD regarding a specialized box for my lower & RMA label coming my way. So we shall see. DD will take care of everyone, they're a solid company.

Apparently my rifle falls into the date range. Thankfully I installed a Geissele on day one.

The real issue is now digging through my parts bin and figuring out which trigger group is the DD so it doesn't get put into something else.

I dropped a CMC single stage flat trigger, instead if sending it out and waiting.  This is my first flat trigger, and I love it. I think I am converted.

Sent my mil spec trigger in so I can have a working spare in the parts bin. I have a Wilson Combat myself.

Yeah I sent mine in a few days ago it was received by DD staff on 06/12. Lower was repaired and sent back to me on 06/13, to be received at home on 06/15. Not bad turn around time. I was also emailed & advised the disconnector was replaced and lower tested for any issues.

Overall, smooth process. The box they originally sent was essentially...a box in a box...with two moderate sized pieces of foam padding. Prepaid label, a strip of tape, and instructions included. There was also a large thing to decail stickers and a key chain thing for the inconvenience I'd assume. I really just place my lower between the two foam pieces and then into the smaller box. Smaller box was subsequently placed into the larger one after I added more padding. Then taped it up and sent her off.

Like I said, seamless process and quick action by DD. I wasn't at a loss without my rifle so I really could care less how long it was gone. Now to see what goodies are included in the returned box! Some 32 round mags, eh eh ehhhhh???

Just kidding, thanks DD!

I have three SSA-E models- great triggers. I'm awaiting the postman to deliver a LaRue MBT. I'm really interested in comparing to to the Gs.

As an update, FedEx delivered my lower receiver yesterday with everything being status quo.

Packaged very similar to the original RMA box and included a nice card with Marty Daniel thanking us (the consumer) for the opportunity to let DD make it right. No other goodies were included, with the lower having no sort of upgraded trigger. It is a similar looking mil-spec trigger group and was greased up with some sort of manufacturing lube.

Once I clean the lower up, I'll reassemble the M4V11 and fire some rounds off!

Any other similar experiences from you guys?
