I was reading the "is my barrel salvageable" thread and wondered.
Are there states which require ALL devices to be pinned to a barrel, regardless of the barrel length? In the other thread OP says that the barrel is 16" and damaged the barrel replacing the muzzle device. |

I apologize. the barrel was shorter than 16".
Since it was brought up, why would you pin a device on an 8" barrel? (aside from a state requirement) I get it if you're running a 14" barrel and want to avoid NFA requirements, but where's the benefit of doing so on an 8" barrel? |
