Any reason I shouldn't use a "full auto" BCG in my semi auto AR?

no reason at all. proceed.

I use them in all my builds.

That would actually be optimal, considering the gun was designed to use a full auto carrier

They are probably easier and cheaper to find as semi ones have become rare or harder to find since the majority you will buy are standard carriers (m16 carrier)

Only if you are going for a super light weight build you would want to use a lighter BCG. Otherwise, go with full auto profile.

This - do they still make the semi-auto?

No. If anything, you should ask that question of semi BCGs. FA BCGs and their mass distribution are how the design was intended to be used.

Yes. RRA puts them in most (if not all) factory rifles.

Yep, and they still don't specify what they are made of either.  I've never had a problem with my RRA BCG, but I still like to know what I'm getting for my money.  With all the great BCG brands out there that fully disclose their materials and testing I've moved on...mostly to Toolcraft.

I think out of all of the BCG's I have bought or got with an upper I only have one semi auto, everything else is full auto, I know all of the premiums I have bought from PSA are full auto..

Just checked PSA and they still have their premium BCG full auto an a charging handle on sale this weekend for $89.99, hell they have an upper and lower on sale with a premium BCG and charging handle and a lower on sale, that would let you put a complete gun together for less than $450, or, less than $400 if you are so inclined.  Sure glad HRC didn't get elected, we are in good times right now!
