After experiencing some jamming issues on a new build, I broke it down and found that the cam pin had broken.  Has anyone else ever had this issue?  I am guessing that it was a fluke manufacturer defect.
-Milspec BCG
-Outdoorsportsusa
-Shot 100 rounds
-Issue started within the first 30 rounds

They are generally a weak point of the BCG, but normally only after significant round counts. If yours broke after 100 rounds, I would contact the manuafacturer for a warranty replacement as that relates to a defective part IF you are using a quality try milspec BCG.

If from some bargain bin shop that uses 8620 for bolt material and does not MP/HPT, I would still ask for a replacement, but in reality, return it and buy a quality BCG from BCM, Sionics, or SOLGW.

I am waiting for a reply from the supplier.  This is their description on the site for the cam pin:

-Machined from 4340

-Quench and temper heat treat

-Ground to meet military required tolerances

Broken cam pins are not unknown.  Usually the bolt breaks at the cam pin hole or locking lug(s) on the bolt break off first, though.
The bolt carrier group is not some place to go cheap if you want a reliable AR.  A BCG from any reputable manufacturer will serve you well.

Purchase a BCM BCG for reliability.  You could just get a BCM cam pin for your current bolt.

Honestly if this is a go to SHTF rifle...  Get a top KNOWN quality part/manufacturer   . Like BCM or COLT  for your BOLT and CAM PIN . WD
