I recently got a B5 Sopmod Gen 1 stock off the EE for a good price. Wanted one for a clone rifle I'm building to resemble the one I carried in Afghanistan.

Got it in the mail, fits good in the stock well only problem I'm having is the latch wiggles loose when on the tube.

I've got the latch assemble taking apart trying to clean it and see what I could see to fix it.

Has anyone else had this issue? Would it be hard to switch out a latch assemble off a waffle to make it work on this?

It's easy to do once you get the small roll pin knocked out of the retaining nut.  Do you have another M4 stock to take the latch parts from?  I've replaced them before and it fit fine. Take a look at the stock itself though to make sure the latch hole isn't disfigured which might cause the latch to wobble.

Maybe you just need to adjust the number of turns on the retaining nut.

Don't have a spare in laying around currently, might try to find one for cheap on the EE so I can try to fix it

I looked at the hole, and it wasn't misconfigured. I've tried to tighten it up with no success so far

What does your sting look like?
Is it crushed?

LOCK RELEASE LEVER PIN SPRING

Maybe you could get a comparable spring from Home Depot?
